Cotton and Linen canvas.

Tissage de Luz, Basque linen since 1908. Our company is based in Saint Jean de Luz in the Basque Country (64). Our fabrics are woven in France to high quality standards in keeping with ancestral Basque linen.

Please refer to the care instructions before use

All our fabrics are made from natural fibres and environmentally friendly dyes. They are "rough woven", i.e. they are delivered as they fall off the loom, without a finish. This means that during the first wash, we observe a natural shrinkage in the length direction of approx. 8%, which is why we always deliver our runners longer than the stated measure. Please take this into account for made-to-measure products.

Before the first wash

In order to respect the nature of the cotton fibre as much as possible, we recommend that you soak your fabric for 6 to 8 hours in cold water before using it for the first time, or that you wash it in the machine, "cold wool cycle", without washing powder.

Machine wash at 60°.

You can wash all our canvases with your usual detergent, using stain removers if necessary. We advise you to wash them separately during the first washings. Do not leave them wet in the drum of your washing machine. Attention: for curtains, we recommend dry cleaning.

Ironing

For better ironing, dampen your laundry slightly and use a hot iron.

Maïté vert Collection

This original stripe, stemming from our family collection, is similar to the old tickings. As a nod to the revival breathed by Maïté Fanfare into the Basque cloth in the 70s, this model is available in 4 matched declensions: ink deep, red,  multicolored and green (news 2019).
